Bringing empathy for animals into education
Practical, inspiring tools for teachers and parents shaping a kinder generation
Practical, inspiring tools for teachers and parents shaping a kinder generation
Most children learn facts about animals, but not how to respect and care for them.
In busy classrooms and homes, lessons on empathy for animals often get squeezed out by academic demands.
Without these lessons, students miss the chance to develop kindness, awareness, and a lifelong sense of responsibility toward animals.
When we teach children to care about animals, we give them more than knowledge — we give them a way of seeing the world.🐾
I understand you want to inspire compassion without sacrificing academic quality or your precious time.
That’s why I created a collection of tools that make it simple to bring empathy for animals into your teaching or parenting — step by step, ready to use.
It doesn’t take hours of planning to inspire empathy — just the right tools in your hands. ⏱️

If we don’t teach respect for animals now, we may lose the next generation’s will to protect them. ⚠️
Without intentional, animal-focused education, students may graduate without the awareness or compassion needed to make choices that respect animals.
Imagine your students leaving school not just smarter, but more compassionate toward every animal they encounter. ✨
Teach lessons that build empathy, critical thinking, and lasting respect for animals — shaping a generation ready to care and advocate for them.
👩🏫 I’m a zoologist and a humane educator on a mission to help teachers and parents turn their students and children into more engaged learners and compassionate humans.
🎓 With a PhD in Animal Ecology and ten years of experience teaching biology in secondary schools, I’ve spent my life at the crossroads of science, education, and ethics. I loved guiding students through the wonders of life on Earth, but I was always struck by what the curriculum left out.
⚖️ Empathy. Justice. Ethics – especially toward animals.
🐾 So I began teaching animal ethics in schools, working with students beyond my own classroom to bring those missing pieces into education. But over time, I realized my impact was limited, and I wanted to help more educators do the same.
💡 That’s why I created FaunEdge, to help educators worldwide teach, inspire, and take meaningful action that reflects their values for animals and the planet.
🐿️ These are the tools I wish I had throughout my own journey, from my childhood curiosity about animals, to choosing a meaningful career to help them, to finding ways as a teacher to bring more purpose into my classroom.
✨ I hope you find them helpful and inspiring as you bring more compassion into your own teaching and parenting.
🌱 This is just the beginning, my first step in building a larger movement to transform education and create a more ethical future for all beings.
